FLASHLIGHT DROP PHOTOS
The Flashlight Drop photos have an almost haunting beauty that was achieved through a simple experiment. Aaron built a 4 sided-column (3 sides and a bottom, top and front sides being open) proportional to the length of his camera shutter. He would turn off the lights in his studio, open his shutter and drop a flashlight down the column. After a bounce or two he would close the shutter. The resulting photo captures a streak of light that can be read as playful, mysterious or even heraldic.
