Untitled Performance (Rainbow Clogs 1997), Indianapolis, IN
Shellabarger paced in an alley while wearing vibrantly colored, comically large clogs made of plaster. As he paced the plaster wore away leaving a visible mark, a record of his walking. Each pair of clogs was a different color and was worn in the following order: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. Each pair of clogs was worn until the soles wore through. The performance ended when the last pair of clogs wore through.
