Untitled Performance (Yellow Sanding 1996), Madison, WI
Shellabarger Paced on a twenty-five foot by thirty two-inch wooden walkway for over one hundred and thirty hours. The walkway had been painted with seventeen layer of different colored paint. As he paced he wore away the paint eventually exposing the vibrant colors and the wooden surface below.
